Technical Survey (TS) is a crucial step in the Land Release process for identifying, confirming and improving definitions of the boundaries of hazardous areas and the nature and distribution of their contents. Information gathered by the TS significantly helps with decision making and subsequent use of appropriate tools and resources, contributing directly to increased operational cost efficiency and effectiveness. This course will strive to provide clear definitions and guidance on what is considered a good practice and what is recommended by the International Mine Action Standards. The course will also provide a platform for participants from various operational contexts to come together and share experiences.
This training course will be held at the NPA Global Training Centre in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where participants will have the opportunity to gain theoretical knowledge and will also be exposed to practical demonstrations and exercises. Students who pass the final exam successfully will be awarded a certificate of completion.
Completion of the GICHD “Introduction to Gender and Diversity in Mine Action” online course is a requirement for attending the TS course. Please follow the link to access this course.
