The Accident Investigation Course aims to train experienced field staff with an EOD-3 qualification in the fundamentals of accident investigation. The course involves direct teaching of theory in the classroom and practical exercises on the ground. The course includes a written exam and a practical test. This is a pass/fail course.
Due to the ongoing COVID pandemic this course is conducted "AT RISK" and may be cancelled at immediate notice at any point.
The objective of the Accident Investigation Course is to train field staff in the basics of conducting a Mine Action accident investigation.

Participants should have a minimum of a recognised EOD-3 qualification, backed by significant field experience. The course requires technical knowledge. Participants must be proficient in manual clearance techniques. Participants must have a good standard of written English.
There is no fee for individuals to attend this course. Travel and insurance costs are the responsibility of participants.
Students should bring personnel clothing for field conditions. Students should come equipped with all necessary stationary including a clip board. Students are advised to bring a dictaphone. Students must bring a lap top computer for report writing purposes.
