The Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD) is delighted to announce that applications can now be submitted for the online Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) training for EORE stakeholders in Cambodia. During this two half-days training, participants will have the opportunity to dive deep into the following themes:
The programme will be delivered in English with interpretation in Khmer.
This programme is funded by Germany.
This EORE workshop is expected to result in the uptake of the latest EORE good practices and the design/implementation of more effective and efficient EORE interventions. Specific objectives are that participants:
The training will be held exclusively online during two afternoons on 15 and 16 December 2021 from 1pm to 5pm Cambodia time. A detailed programme will be shared with participants closer to the date of the training.
Participants in the training are encouraged to complete the 'Introduction to EORE Essentials' online course available on the GICHD training platform prior to the training. This e-learning aims to providing a basic grounding in the fundamentals of effective EORE in line with International Mine Action Standards (IMAS). The course is currently only available in English.
This EORE training is primarily targeted at EORE practitioners and managers for national and international organisations working in Cambodia, representatives from the Cambodian Mine Action and Victim Assistance Authority (CMAA) and relevant ministries. The number of participants is limited to 30.
This EORE online training is free.
Since this is an online training, all participants must have access to a computer and a good internet connection to log onto the Zoom platform and fully benefit from the training and its methodology.
