Inclusive Leadership Training Course دورة تدريبية في القيادة الشاملة
The Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD) is organising an Inclusive Leadership Training course for mid to senior level managers in mine action sector based in Iraq from 11 to 14 December 2022.
The training course will be delivered in a combination of English and Arabic, with interpretation provided.
This training is funded by Germany, Sweden, Australia and Italy.
Deadline for accepting applications is November 15, 2022.
ينظم مركز جنيف الدولي لإزالة الألغام للأغراض الإنسانية دورة تدريبية خاصة بالقيادة الشاملة موجهة للمدراء والمديرات في قطاع الأعمال المتعلقة بالألغام في العراق من أصحاب المناصب الإدارية المتوسطة والعليا.
ستعقد هذه الدورة التدريبية لمدة أربعة أيام في الفترة بين 11 و14 ديسمبر / كانون الأول 2022 في أربيل، وستقدم باللغتين العربية والإنجليزية مع وجود ترجمة فورية .
سيتم تمويل هذا التدريب من قبل ألمانيا والسويد وأستراليا وإيطاليا.
الموعد النهائي للتقديم هو 15 تشرين الثاني- نوفمبر 2022

00Objetivo
This training course aims at enhancing Mine Action leadership’s commitment towards gender and diversity mainstreaming, and how that commitment could influence the creation of an enabling environment for mainstreaming activities, and thus better-informed interventions and responses. The training will help the leadership teams within stakeholder organisations in the mine action sector to strengthen their capability for fostering inclusive workplaces, where gender, diversity, and inclusion are mainstreamed into work practices and decision-making processes. In addition, by attending this course, leaders and managers will learn how to apply a gender and diversity transformative approach, by which they act as agents of change for advancing gender equality and inclusive work environment in their respective organisations.
الهدف من الدورة التدريبية هو التعرف على الفرص و فهم التحديات التي تواجه منظمات الأعمال المتعلقة بالألغام في العراق، بما في ذلك المشغلين الدوليين والمحليين، والسلطات الوطنية وغيرهم من اصحاب المصلحة بشكل عام، وقيادة هذه المنظمات والمؤسسات على وجه التحديد ، فيما يتعلق بتعزيز المساواة بين الجنسين و قضايا الإدماج في عملهم، كذلك العمل على فهم العقبات التي تواجههم في تعميم منظور النوع الاجتماعي والتنوع.

The training will in person in a classroom setting and will be divided into 5 modules:
Module 1: Power and Abuse of Power
Module 2: Cultures and Organisational Cultures
Module 3: Governance and Inclusive Leadership
Module 4: Accountability and Inclusive Leadership
Module 5: Communicating as a Leader
Specific details for each module and its learning objectives will be shared with successful candidates.
سيقدم هذا التدريب بشكل وجاهي وسيتم تقسيمه إلى خمس وحدات رئيسية كالتالي:

00Participantes
The course is primarily directed to the leadership of the mine action sector in Iraq. More specifically, mid to senior level managers (for example: country directors, operational managers, Heads of Mine Action centres). To promote meaningful discussions and active engagement, there is a maximum number of participants that will be accepted onto the training course.
Women and people from diverse backgrounds and with diverse identities within the leadership teams are highly encouraged to apply.
Candidates who are not selected are encouraged to consult our calendar of events in order to apply for subsequent training courses.
Participants must have written, spoken, and reading skills in either Arabic or English to be able to participate fully in the course.
The following documentation is required as part of the application:
Mandatory
- A letter of motivation explaining why you have applied to the training
- A copy of your current Terms of Reference / Job Description.
- A letter of endorsement which must be signed and stamped by your employer
Preferred
- A copy of the Gender and Diversity policy of your organisation, if available.
- A copy of the gender and diversity mainstreaming work plan of your organisation, if available.
- A copy of your CV (in either English or Arabic).
eLearning course
All selected participants should complete the Introduction to gender and diversity in mine action eLearning course, prior to the face-to-face training. This course aims to help learners identify where and why gender and diversity matter in mine action. It is available here in English and Arabic.

GICHD will be covering the cost of the face-to-face training, this includes training handouts, all needed classroom materials, lunch, and coffee breaks.
For accommodation and travel, the GICHD offers sponsorships for a number of participants.
