The Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD) and the ASEAN Regional Mine Action Center (ARMAC), are organising an Operational Efficiency in Mine Action Training, that will take place from 19 to 24 August 2019 at the ASEAN Regional Mine Action Center in Phnom Pehn, Cambodia. The workshop will be held in English.
The main objective of the Operational Efficiency Training is to enhance the ability of Training attendants from the region to efficiently plan, implement, monitor, assess and evaluate land release operations. The GICHD Operational Efficiency Training consists of 6 modules:
Student Arrival to Phnom Penh: 18 August 2019
First Day of Training: Monday 19 August 2019
Last Day of Training: Saturday 24 August 2019
Departure: Sunday 25 August 2019
The minimum requirements for Training participants are as follows:
The participants shall be members of national mine action authorities, national and international operators from the ASEAN member states.
The participants shall have at least one year of prior experience in managing mine action teams, projects or operations (e.g. operations managers, operations coordinators, operations officers, field managers, department managers or officers).
The participant shall be endorsed by his / her organisation, self-nominations are not accepted.
The GICHD and ARMAC will provide necessary administration and logistic support for all the participants.
The participants will need to be self-sponsored or sponsored by their organisation, for all costs related to flights meals, and accommodation.
GICHD will provide lunch and coffee breaks during the course.
