Introduction to ArcGIS Pro
The purpose of the training is to enable personnel with necessary skills and knowledge needed for IMSMA Core database management, data quality checks, data representation and mapping, spatial analysis.

To increase the capacity of the national authority and mine action centres information management resources

5 days course with each day 2 hours session. The training will be conducted online with the participants having a hands-on training on the use of the tools.
Day 1, 12th of October, Tuesday – ArcGIS Pro Introduction, 15:00 – 17:00 (Kyiv time)
Topics:
- ArcGIS Pro general introduction
- ArcGIS Pro installation, licensing, log-in, ArcMap/ArcCatalog
- ArcGIS Pro structure and functions overview (Map, Catalogue, data preview, toolbox, and analysis functions…)
- ArcGIS project structure and overview
- Adding data from SESU portal for preview, edit, analysis
Day 2, 19th of October, Tuesday – Data editing and selection, 14:00 – 16:00 (Kyiv time)
Topics:
- Adding and publishing data into SESU Portal (web layer, web maps, web services)
- Data types and composition overview (point, line, polygon, raster data, tables)
- Create and edit data elements, attribute tables (single edits)
- Definition queries examples
- Select by attributes/locations and calculation functions (delete identified selected reports, fields calculations, fields data modifications)
- Work with coordinates, corrections
Day 3, 21st of October, Thursday – Layout overview, Basic data analysis functions, 14:00 – 16:00 (Kyiv time)
Topics:
- Work with Maps: symbology, labels, printed maps
- Pop-Ups, arcade, statistics, adding external data elements
- Visibility range of layers
- Connection with external data and sources (Excel, Access)
- Basic data analysis functions (density analysis, proximity, heatmaps, projection operations, joining, cliping)
Day 4, 22nd of October, Friday - Geodatabase, 14:00 – 16:00 (Kyiv time)
Topics:
- Geodatabase creation. Work on the file geodatabase, download the form and add to the ArcGIS Pro
- Overview and structure of geodatabase, domains, behavior, relationship, attachments, relationship between tables
- Publishing new Survey123 form and connection to the geodatabase
- Form updates and domain modifications (overview) – TBC
Day 5, 26th of October, Tuesday, 14:00 – 16:00 (Kyiv time)
Review Homework and final assessment.
