ARCP Operational Efficiency in Mine Action Training Course
The Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD) and the Lebanon Mine Action Center (LMAC), are organising, in the context of the Arab Regional Cooperation Programme (ARCP), a Regional Operational Efficiency in Mine Action Training, that will take place from 10 to 15 June at the Regional School for Humanitarian Demining in Lebanon (RSHDL). The workshop will be held in both Arabic and English.

00Objective
The ARCP brings together National Mine Action Programmes, and other relevant stakeholders in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The main objective of the ARCP Operational Efficiency Training is to enhance the ability of Training Course attendants from the region to efficiently plan, implement, monitor, assess and evaluate land release operations. The GICHD Operational Efficiency Training Course consists of 6 modules:
- Operational Efficiency and Effectiveness
- Organisation and governance, including prioritisation
- Quality management
- Risk management
- Information management
- Management of resources

Student Arrival to Lebanon: 9 June 2019
First Day of Training: Monday 10 June 2019
Last Day of Training and end of Training Course dinner: Saturday 15 June 2019
Departure: Sunday 16 June 2019
00Participants
The minimum requirements for Training Course participants are as follows:
The participants shall have at least one year of prior experience in managing mine action teams, projects or operations (e.g. operations managers, operations coordinators, operations officers, field managers, department managers or officers).
The participant shall be endorsed by his / her organisation, self-nominations are not accepted.
00Cost
The GICHD and LMAC will provide necessary administration and logistic support for all the participants. A support letter from the Directors of the programmes must be attached to the application, along with valid health insurance coverage in Lebanon for the period of stay, and a colour passport photograph.
GICHD will be covering the cost of the Training Course. This includes accommodation within RSHDL - Hammana, meals, coffee breaks, classroom materials, cleaning, transfer to and from Beirut airport.
